Annette Von Stetten, CVPM - Certified Veterinary Practice Manager Annette joined the practice in 2008. She is a Delaware native. She has twenty years experience in the financial field and in business management. She holds her degree in management and marketing. Annette enjoys daily walks with her husband and dogs. She also enjoys the great outdoors and fishing.
Terri Dove, Assistant to the Practice Manager
Terri joined the practice in 1990. Her pets include a Golden Retriever, Molly and several cats. Outside of work Terri spends a lot of time at dog shows and helping out clients at the shows!
Sharon Wyatt, Groomer Sharon joined the practice in 1987. Her pets include a lab named Bella, and two cats; Tibbie & Rachel. She is married to Bob, has a daughter named Lyndsey, stepdaughters Sharon and Amy, four grandsons. She enjoys watching and playing tennis, is a Phillies fan (watches on tv and at the ballpark). She likes to help Bob with the racehorses on the weekends and at the races. She also loves to travel.
Becky Borntreger, LVT, Licensed Veterinary Technician Becky joined the practice in 2001 and she enjoys all aspects of the veterinary medicine. Her pets include a German Shepherd, Sage and a cat, Acadia. In her free time she likes to read and spend time with her family. She earned a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Science from Delaware State University in 2007.
Robin Clark, Veterinary Assistant
Robin joined the practice in 2016. She and her English Bulldog (Tank) recently moved to Delaware from Upstate New York. Robin has a love for all animals and is currently attending Del Tech to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). In her free time, she enjoys participating in outdoor endurance/obstacle events and 5Ks
Karen Green LVT, Licensed Veterinary Technician Karen joined the practice in 2006, though has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years. Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include surgery and radiology. She is married and loves to spend all her free time with their son. She has two dogs and two cats.
Christina Hays, Client Service Representative
Chris joined the practice in 2017. She has ten years medical experience. She is continuing her personal knowledge into veterinarian work. She has two fur babies: Castiel and Oliver (cats). Chris spends her free time listening to all types of music and quilting.
Michelle Johnson, Client Service Representative
Michelle joined the practice in 1994 as a bather, she has since moved on to CSR and she enjoys the interaction with clients. 2013. She has a pit bull and multiple cats as well as ferrets, guinea pigs, rats and a cockatoo. Plus to many reptiles to mention. Michelle's favorite hobby is reptile shows.
Cathye Knouse, Groomer
Cathye joined the practice in 2015. She was raised on a farm in Delaware and gradutated from Caesar Rodney. She has been grooming for many years. Cathye has an animal behavior modification course and an animal behavior course which is a real assest to Governors Avenue Animal Hospital. Her rescued pets include: Chester and Ginger.
Megan Manzi, Veterinary Assistant
Megan joined the practice in 2016. She is a Delaware native and a recent graduate of Morrisville State College in New York with a Bachelors in Equine Science and a concentration in Equine Rehabilitation Therapy. She has always had a passion for animals (large and small) and loves working with them everyday. In her down time, she loves reading, watching movies, and hanging out with family and friends. She is excited to expand her knowledge in small animal medicine and care.
Tom Marvel, Veterinary Assistant Tom joined the practice in 1998. His pets include a Pomeranian (Maggie) and several finches and canaries. Tom attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY from 1977-1980 and the Naval War College from 1980-1982. He served in the US Navy from 1980-1988. His areas of interest include surgery and dental cleaning. His hobbies include antique clocks, scuba diving, and 2z scale model trains.
Stephanie McClendon, Veterinary Assistant
Stephanie joined the practice in 2016. She moved to Delaware from Alaska where she worked on her BS in Wildlife Biology & Conservation. She is new to the veterinary field and currently working towards becoming a LVT through Penn Foster. She spent her Summber 2016 as an intern working on a deer farm in Ohio, raising deer fawns. She enjoys reading, watching movies and hanging out with her little sister and "brother", Roscoe (a chesapeake bay/lab mix).
Reba Jo Murphy, Veterinary Assistant
Reba joined the practice in 2016. She recently graduated from the Delaware Technicial & Community College, Veterinary Technology program. She has a love form animals and enjoys cuddling her bunny "Miller", and playing with her cat "Bandit".
Janelle Palermo, Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative
Janelle joined the practice in 2017, although she has been in the veterinary field since 2007. Janelle graduated from SUNY Delhi's Veterinary Technology program and became a Licensed Veterinary Technican in New York. While pursing her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science at Cornell University, she worked as a Veterinary Technician in several speciality services at Cornell University Hospital for Animals. Janelle moved to Delware from New Hampshire. Some of her veterinary interests include anesthesia, surgery, and cardiology. Janelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Garrick and their two labs mixes (Rambo and Candy), Pit-bull (Aspen) and cat (Sam).
Amber Rainer,Veterinary Assistant
Amber joined the practice in 2015. She has worked in the veterinary field for two years. Her pets inlude pomeranian mix (Bunper) and a beagle mix (Lucky)and a maltese mix (Diamond). Amber graduated from Delaware State University with a bachelor of Science in Agriculture. She enoys bowling, listening to music, and hanging with friends.

Shannon joined the practice in 2015. Shannon has just recently joined the veterinary field but has always had a passion for animals, large and small. She has two turles.
Serita Scott, Groomer Assistant
Serita joined the practice in 2015. She has a daughter and two dogs: Sofie and Julie, she enjoys spending time with all three of them. In 2007, she is became certified in Massage Therapy.
Kayla Smith, Groomer Assistant
Kayla joined the practive in 2016. She graduated from Delaware Technical Community College with an associates in Criminal Justice. She has four cats and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading and horseback riding and her work on Deer Antler Equestrian Center.
Jessica Salter, Customer Service Representative
Jessica joined the practice in 2016. She has two sons and a Catahoula Leaport Mix, Solo Gothem. Her hobbies incloude: knitting, crocheting, volunteering for various militaty organizations and spending time at the shooting range.
Samantha Schaumeyer, Customer Service Representative
Sam joined the practice in 2016. She has many years experience as a customer serivce representative in the veterinary field. She enjoys music, outdoor activities and spending time with her fiance.
Lisa Virdin, Client Service Representative
Lisa joined the practice in 2012. She has worked in the veterinary field for twenty eight years. She enjoys spending time with her two pit bulls Talu and Dallas. She also enjoys fishing, four wheeling and photography.
Joanne Weller, Administrative Bookkeeper Joanne joined the practice in January 2010. She has 30+ years of bookkeeping experience. She shares her home with two cats and a rescued greyhound named Joey. She enjoys spending time outside and loves to camp and Jeep trail ride. She was raised on a family farm west of Harrington and is a Delaware native.
